Lisa Bowen is a Toronto-based writer, photographer, and publisher. A writer of young adult fiction, she has devoted her life to encouraging children to believe in themselves and to turn their dreams into reality. Her stories involve relatable, true-to-life characters, and much of her material is inspired by her own life.
A spouse, a daughter, a homeschool advocate, and a mother of two, Lisa juggles a full-time career along with her two energetic, precocious sons, who are her whole world. She sleeps very little, preferring to spend her time bonding with her boys or writing. To relax, she kicks back with a green superfood smoothie.
Lisa serves as the Co-Founder of Real Life Learning Inc., and the Toronto East Co-Chapter President of The Spelling Bee of Canada. She is currently working toward publishing several new books, including Over at Grandma’s House, The Twins Go to School, New Baby Sisters, and Eli and Max’s Space Adventure.
